FAQs

  • Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy that addresses issues related to the pelvic floor muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues. The pelvic floor is essential for controlling bowel and bladder functions, supporting sexual health, stabilizing the pelvis, and facilitating nearly every movement of our body. Pelvic floor PT involves a comprehensive assessment to identify any dysfunction, followed by targeted exercises, manual therapy techniques, and education to improve strength, coordination, and function of this area.

  • We are an out-of-network clinic. We prioritize delivering unparalleled care tailored specifically to each individual's needs. By opting out of insurance, we are able to focus solely on providing the highest quality treatment without the restrictions and limitations often imposed by insurance companies. This allows us to spend more time with our patients, offering personalized attention and innovative therapies that may not be covered by traditional insurance plans. Upon request, we are able to provide you with a superbill after your visit if you would like to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

  • Nope! California allows direct access to physical therapy services, meaning you do not need a referral from your doctor to start PT for up to 45 calendar days or 12 visits. After this, a referral from a physician would be required.

  • During your pelvic floor evaluation, you can expect a comprehensive and personalized assessment tailored to your specific needs. The evaluation will begin with a detailed discussion of your medical history, symptoms, concerns and goals in a comfortable and confidential environment. With your informed consent, this is followed by a physical examination, which may include an external and internal evaluation of the pelvic muscles to assess strength, muscle tone, coordination, and any areas of discomfort. At any time, you may request the examination to pause or stop completely. Throughout the process, the physical therapist will prioritize your comfort and understanding, ensuring you feel empowered and informed about your pelvic health journey.

  • During your orthopedic evaluation, you can expect a thorough and personalized assessment designed to understand your specific concerns and physical condition. The evaluation will start with a detailed conversation about your medical history, current symptoms, and activity levels. This will be followed by a physical examination, which may include assessments of your posture, range of motion, strength, and functional movements. Our experienced therapists will perform various tests to pinpoint the root of your discomfort and any underlying issues. Throughout the process, we prioritize your comfort and ensure you are well-informed, ultimately creating a customized treatment plan to address your orthopedic needs and help you achieve pain relief and optimal performance.
